Studio Classes winding down

the teacher becomes the student (again!)

Many of you will have seen my last newsletter letting you know my big news this year is that I’m returning to university to do a PME (professional masters in education) and complete my qualifications to teach French & English in post primary… 

I have no intention of stopping yoga completely, with a retreat coming up in October and some Yin workshops already scheduled, but I will be taking a step back from some of my regular weekly studio classes for the next year or so.  

I am so grateful to anyone who has ever trusted me to guide their yoga or meditation practice. It is a genuine honour to do so. Although I will miss teaching yoga as regularly as I have for the past 13 years (what a privilege it has been!) I know that I will never be far from a yoga studio and look forward to balancing my yoga teaching with the stability and security that a more traditional school teaching role can offer myself and my family.

I’m looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces on the mat this year, you can practice with me in the following ways:

My last studio classes are as follows:

Yin Yoga finishing on Monday 1st September and Yoga Flow classes will wrap up on Saturday 6th September… You will be in the capable hands of Andrea for Yin and Jenna for Yoga Flow, and I’ll keep up my Yin Yang on Tuesday morning’s for a little bit longer.

Online Library:

You can of course subscribe to the wonderful Ahimsa Yoga Library.  It’s a great collection of videos, including yoga flows of varying lengths and “levels”, yin yoga classes, all including a guided meditation and relaxation.  The ideal way to keep practicing with me at home, in your own space and time.

Yin Magic:

Yin Magic - skillfully guided, deeply nourishing extended yin yoga and yoga nidra practices. Dates this side of Christmas are: Friday Sept 26th, November 21st and December 12th… you will be able to book these via machayoga.com/book or see below for details and bookings for September.

Samhain Long Weekend Retreat:

There are a couple of spaces available for my extended October weekend retreat in the Burren.  This is sure to be an extra special retreat, with that extra day to allow us even more time to rest, retreat, and replenish as we cross over the Samhain threshold and into the season of winter.  See below or click here for more.

One to one Yoga Therapy:

I will have some limited availability to take on one to one clients for bespoke Yoga Therapy sessions. These can be in your own home, online, or in the comfort of the studio. These sessions are designed to cater for your unique needs and goals, I have experience working with clients after injury, illness and surgery, during and after pregnancy, beginners to experienced yoga practitioners wanting to work on something specific or deepen their practice in a way that a public class can’t cater to. Prices vary, please get in touch to discuss!
